Obverse:
CNVT REX ANGLO. Crowned bust left within quatrefoil.
Reverse:
ÆLFPINE COLE. Long cross over quatrefoil with pellet apex.
Insignificant split between N and V, good very fine, toned and rare, especially in this condition. Same die pair as SCBI 13 Copenhagen, Part III A - Number 247.
Along with the Copenhagen example, we have only been able to trace one other with this reverse reading, Spink Numismatic Circular, Vol. 27, Jan-Feb 1919, Number 91296 (VF - weight not recorded). There is a tentative possibility that this is the same coin.
Ex S. & K. Harl Collection bt J. Linzalone, 1976.
