Obverse:
HENRIC 8 D G AGL FRAN Z HIB REX. Youthful portrait of Edward VI on throne, holding orb and sceptre.
Reverse:
IHS AVTEM TRANSIE PER MEDI ILLOR IBAT. Crowned shield with lion and dragon supporters.
Very fine, well centred and perfectly round, metal weakness on king’s face (corresponds to lion’s head on reverse). Overall an excellent and sharp example of this rare issue, much as struck.
