Obverse:
ELIZABETH D G ANG FR ET HI REGINA. St Michael slaying dragon.
Reverse:
A DNO FACTVM EST ISTVD ET EST MIRA BI. Ship sailing r. quartered shield of arms at deck, E and rose at mast.
A small scratch by rigging on the reverse otherwise very fine, the overmark very rare on the angel.

We have only been able to locate three examples of this overmark from any published sales. The Walters and Murdoch example is unillustrated but is listed as weighting 78 1/2 grains, exceptionally close to this example on modern scales at 78.7 grains and is potentially the same coin. The Spink auction 11 coin is from different dies, weighing 79.6 grains and the Stansfeld example from the same die pair and weighs 79.1 grains.
