Obverse:
[CAROLVS D G] MAG B [FRANC ET HIB] REX. King on walking horse, holding sword, scarf from waist, ground line below.
Reverse:
CH [RISTO] AVSPI [CE] REGNO. Oblong shield, [C] and R above.
Exceptional strike to the horse, couple of light scratched to the rev (9 and 10 o'clock) and few minor marks to the obv, otherwise its much as struck. Uneven flan thickness resulting in weak areas.
Although it is very weak in parts its a notoriously poorly struck issue. Out of the handful of surviving examples, all are noted to be poorly struck, giving partial impressions only and from dies which quickly cracked and broke. For Edward Besly to recreate full designs of these dies for his article in BNJ, photographs of four specimens were required.
To my knowledge no example has been offered for sale in the last decade.
