Detecting find hence surface marks otherwise a near very fine example, good bust, round flan and little wear.
Being only three-quarters of the weight of an English shilling, this Irish issue and was still accepted as legal tender in England and Wales but only at the reduced value of ninepence.
Found Nr Andover, Hampshire 2016.
