Obverse:
CAROLVS D G MAG BR FR ET HIB REX. Third horseman, large horse, scarf flying from king's waist
Reverse:
CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO. Oval garnished shield, plume above.
A few metal flaws on the obverse otherwise fine or better with a light tone.
This die pairing extremely rare with only one other example known, which is in the British Museum and listed by Cooper as dies XV*/XX* “The only recorded specimen having both obverse and reverse mint-marks punched over bell”. Same obverse die as Brooker 256 (mm. Bell) and 257 (mm. Crown over Bell) and reverse as 255-6 (mm. Bell) and 258 (mm. Crown over Bell).
