The Naxos Hoard consisted of around 1420 coins, which were said to have been found during the summer of 1969 in a earthenware vase, in a cave on the rocky eastern promontory of the Greek island of Naxos. It was dispersed in separate lots on the London market throughout the 1970’s and 80's.
