About very fine and a rare with a chevron barred A. Provenanced to all the major shortcorss collections.

Ex ‘Naxos’ (Greece) Hoard, c. 1969.
The Naxos Hoard consisted of around 1420 coins, which were said to have been found during the summer of 1969 in a earthenware vase, in a cave on the rocky eastern promontory of the Greek island of Naxos. It was dispersed in separate lots on the London market throughout the 1970’s and 80's.
