East Raynham (Norfolk) Find, December 1910
The East Raynham Find consisted of 200 very fine, Edward III gold nobles, discovered in December 1910. Henry John Gayford, a land agent and sheep farmer, found the coins whilst constructing a drain in the village. George Cyril Brooke of the British Museum documented the find in the Numismatic Chronicle in 1911 and listed this coin as obverse dies 18/19 and reverse 24.
