Obverse:
HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGL Z F D HY. Facing crowned king standing in ship, holding sword and shield quartered with arms of England and France. Ropes 2 and 1, mullet over shield, no annulet of ship, listed by Brooke as a variety of type VIII.
Reverse:
DOMINE NE IN FVRORE TVO ARGVAS ME. Floriated cross with lis at ends, crowned lions between, h to centre surrounded by treasure of eight arches. Trefoil (not slipped as Henry IV) in the second quarter - a true class F reverse.
Evidence of crease and surface marks, otherwise good fine, obverse better. A extremely rare variety of an already very rare issue. Obverse die match to 1915,0507584 in the British Museum Collection.
